Hello fellow VFP Members and Supporters,
My name is Lucas. I am a combat veteran and, like many of you, I struggled to reintegrate when I left the service. I was isolated, angry, and hyper vigilant, all of which fed into a major drinking problem and constant conflict with those around me. It was a very depressing, rocky road, and I was much more fortunate than some of my friends in surviving it. However, during this personal journey, I’ve picked up some very useful techniques for dealing with grief, stress, and anxiety- and I’ve made it my personal mission to connect other veterans with techniques and environments that can help them not only heal, but also re-experience true personal growth (and inspire it in others).

Dancing Rabbit 2016
I now live at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage in Rutledge, MO (one of the premier ecovillages in the US), and have fostered a partnership with the local bed and breakfast here, the Milkweed Mercantile Eco Inn, to offer two veteran-oriented workshops this year- one for men, and one for women.
